ETERNITY fridges

 

  This project was completed as a homework assignment for an art college, entirely developed by me. The task centered around branding and required selecting a fairy tale to inspire the marketing of a product, regardless of It’s thematic connection to the tale itself. I chose Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen” and was tasked with promoting refrigerators. Adhering strictly to the original text of the fairy tale, adaptations from films or animations were not permitted.

 

  Despite the wintry setting of the fairy tale, I observed a spectrum of colors and frequent changes, opting to avoid cold winter shades. The refrigerator's simple design allowed ample room for creativity in posters, patterns and merchandise designs spanning different decades. Drawing inspiration from the tale's end, where Kai assembles the word "eternity" from pieces of ice. I utilized images of "Smeg" refrigerators available freely on the internet for visual representation.
